The Journaling of Bullet Journaling

The Journaling of Bullet Journaling

Because it can be both. A Bujo can be a planner and a journal, or solely a planner, or just a journal. The best aspect of a bullet journal is the versatility.

And the choice is entirely up to you.

But the bullet journal was intended to be just that, a journal. This not only increases how much you interact with your journal, but also provides another way for your planner to work for you.

Daily Logs:
The Monthly, Weekly, or Daily Logs house the planning part of the bullet journal. This is where your To Do List, reminders, important dates, or daily reflections live. I call this the planner part.

Trackers:
And this could be anything, whatever you feel you need to keep track of. Habit trackers, mood trackers, and sleep trackers are the typically trackers that people use. However, you can track whatever is important to you. Using trackers encourages daily interaction with your journal, which is especially beneficial for beginners.

Collections:
Just like in life, you have any type of collection page you want. Movies or shows you want to watch this month, books that you want to read, or inspirational quotes. Collections are not only a fun way to increase the way you interact with your journal but it also helps to keep everything in one place. My early bujos featured a Books of the Month and a receent watched movie page. Currently, I have a Fly Lady Cleaning System collection, and a collection of my favorite quotes.

Creative Pages:
The theme here is clear: you can customize your bullet journal however you wish. Creative pages can include doodles, brainstorming sessions, or vision boards. The best part is that there is no strict order; just ensure you keep track of everything using the Index.

Hobbies and Interests:
You can also use a bullet journal to track different hobbies and interests by creating dedicated pages for each one. I've mention my book log, which features the book of the month and a review. For fitness geeks, a workout log can help monitor progress and set goals. If you enjoy cooking, you might include a recipe collection or meal planner. This customization allows you to engage with your bullet journal in a fun ways, and not just for work or chores that need to be completed.

The whole point is to get a handle of every aspect of life; the bujo is a tool to do just that, but its only as good as whats inside it. Adding different elements only helps to enhance why and how you use your bujo.

Remember, its a tool that works for you and with you, so dive in and make the most of it.
