One Page At A Time

One Page At A Time

How do you eat an elephant?

One bite at a time.

How do you use this planner. Same way. One page at at time.

Okay. I know. I said this was your planner and there's isn't a right or wrong way to use it; but sometimes its helpful to start small.

I've been asked to set up planners for others or to host planner parties and whatnot, and I always turn it down because I truly believe in the Bullet Journal method of not moving past the next page.

Planner tip. Focus on the month, week, or day that we are currently in. Leave the next page blank until you are ready to sit down and plan.

The entire reason behind this whole planner thing to lessen the stress and anxiety, it is to help narrow your focus and maximize your time; trying to plan out the entire year is the opposite of that.

Most planners will have a Year at A Glance Page in the very front of the planner, (see pictures below). This is for important dates for the entire year, birthdays, holidays, events, etc. This will give you a bit size view of what is happening every month for the year; this page is for you to write what you need as you look ahead.

But the actual month calendar page, don't touch it. Not until its time. Not until you are ready to plan for that month. Now you have a clearer view of what the focus for that month.

This whole process can be a lot, especially when you are just starting out. Start small, build the habit, and plan on page at a time.
