Going Digital?
Its 2024. Everything is digital, so why still use this analog planner?
And I will be the first to admit that going digital has its pros, just like using a paper planner. There's no right or wrong, no better or worse, it all depends on what works best for you.
Seventeen year old me, dreamed of having an office will my own library. Floor to ceiling bookcases filled with hardback books, all the classics. I wanted to own every book I had ever read.
Fast forward.
Forty-Four year old me, can barely remember how to hold a physical book in my hand. My library is all digital, and rented, so Amazon takes them back after so long. And my home office has bookcases filled with pens and stickers.
I live in the gray space between new age digital tools and old school sheets of paper; but for the month of March, I'm going digital.
How did I get here? Again?
At the beginning of the year when I decided to print my own planner, I started out searching for something digital. I had just broke open my third Passion Planner Undated Daily, but I knew it wasn't 100% what I wanted. I searched Etsy and found a ton of digital planner bundles for very very affordable prices. I tried it, couldn't figure it out. I quit it, because you know I am not a tree, I will move around.
I was talking to my planner buddy, Tasha Kinney, who has been with me every step of this customizing planner journey. She was elated about a new digital planner that she purchased, and how it works with her pen and her Good Notes.
I was inspired.
So yeah, I'm going to give another go. The difference is, now I have better understand of how the digital planner works with the Good Notes app, along with how it works with my pen. Just goes to show, that even with all the right tools, we can still get it wrong.
But I am super excited to move back into this digital world.
The goal:
- Maintain or increase productivity while saving time and effort.
- Find a simpler method for housing and traveling with all the things.
- Integrate my routines, to do list, and reminders with my phone and iPad to better stay on track.
The plan is to give it a valid shot, use my planner every day, take it with me, and keep it viewable. Hopefully, my journey through the ups and downs, can smooth the path for you.
I'm not sure how this will end up, but I will still plan accordingly.
